Time Travelers does it again
This book was positively a blast to read!! The hero is a banker in Texas in 1871 and a veteran of the Civil War. The heroine is a rancher's daughter. He forecloses on her father's ranch so she shoots him--but misses. A drunken circuit judge sentences her to hang, but the time tunnel opens and takes the two of them back to 1066 England. Now the story is told from their point of view all the way through the book--one chapter is his--one is hers. These two have no concept of European history at all. He thinks a castle is a fort! As it turns out, he's a Robin Hood type in this century, and she's a baron's daughter. All this is set just as William the Conqueror is about to land his foot on English soil. Bruce Wainwright and Jim Cooper, the continuing characters in the Time Travelers series, are in this book to help these two out. Do they need help? Read it. It's book 3 in the series, and what I like best about this author--each book is its own unique story told in its own unique way. The time tunnel and the minor characters stay in the series, but the main characters always change. If you like time travel or historic fiction books, you have to read this series!!!!!

Hangin', Feudin', Travellin' and WOW!
Hollie you had my attention from the first page! You delightfully painted the characters of Jessie and Matt in 1871 Texas without a hitch. All of a sudden when you feel like you are hooked on the time period and the dialect, you get flung back in time to England, 1066!!!! Whoa Nellie. The two main characters have a hate-hate-love-hate relationship with hysterical wit and one-liners that really keep you giggling. I think the characters in this book are very well developed and inspiring. What will you think of next Hollie? You won't put it down!

I am hooked for life.
I am hooked for life with H. Van Horne. This author has such a unique style that I just have to have the next book. Each Time Travel series book is its own story, and you don't have to read them in any special order and they are excellent. This story is about Matt and Jessie from Texas 1871 who wind up in 1066 England. One chapter is Matt's side of what is going on, and the next chapter is the heroine, Jessie's. These two characters appear to hate each other but are forced (by the rules of the time travel) to be together in this time period. They describe everything from their Western viewpoint, and it is such a joy to read. I laughed--I cried. Good read. Where's book 5? I need the next book...and the next...and the next. It's the author's voice that has me hooked and the wonderful plotlines too. She is a great storyteller. I think it's the characters that really grab you too. I've read all five of the books now, and I can tell you that where Van Horne takes me in the next story---I will follow.

I'm hooked for life now!
I bought When We Do Meet Again one year ago to the month, and I have not been able to stop reading H. Van Horne's books. I have never felt that way about an author before. This one is a great read just like all the rest. I laughed and cried--I can't tell you how much I enjoy all of these books. You will love Matt and Jessie as they fall from 1871 into the Middle Ages of 1066 and add a special Western style of humor to the forests of merry old England. Incredible! Great book!

Time Travelers Inc. does it again
Matt McKnight and Jessie Callahan make fueding through time a must read. I really liked how Ms. Van Horne lets you see the story through the eyes of both characters. Time travelling with Bruce and Jim is different then being with Sam, but I found them to be just as interesting. I hope Ms. Van Horne continues writing this series. I find her writing style to be compelling.
